1-1 Psychoanalytic (minimum twice a week sessions)
Psychoanalytic psychotherapy is offered twice or up to 5 times per week, at the same time each day/week. This is discussed and agreed at the beginning of treatment.
The consistency in meeting times and the frequency of sessions is important because Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy works with patterns of thinking, feeling and relating which individuals develop over the course of their life to date.
Keys areas of psychoanalysis will involve working with free association, this would involve sharing your thoughts, feelings, as they come to your mind, however insignificant, irrelevant they might seem to be with me. Free association facilitates the appearance of your psychological defences. This process encourages you to become more aware of the dynamics of your psychological defences, how you are feeling and thinking in the present moment, and how you relate to yourself and others.

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a type of therapy used to treat the symptoms of trauma.
